Jahnavi Mataji Sanga (JMS) as it is known now was started in early 2007 and was then known as Jahnavi Mataji Club (JMC). The main aim of its formation was by sharing and caring for matajis by matajis. The main objective by JMS was to bring together women in Krishna consciousness, either serving or newly coming to BCC, to help each other, to share their knowledge and experiences in Krishna Consciousness, to promote the reading of Srila Prabhupada’s books and to engage matajis to a positive, unified manner with each other. Our main activities which were held on the monthly basis at that time focused on reading and discussing Srila Prabhupada’s books well as sharing realizations from reading the books. As matajis love cooking, cooking demonstration were held periodically together with garland making, yoga classes, art and drama as well as singing and mrdanga classes.

JMS started bakery sales at 2008 and still continuing. 100% of the profits from all JMS sales go into the temple account. JMS basically means the womens’ wing in BCC, where every mataji (young or old) is an automatic member and could contribute to the society in a cooperative spirit as desired by Srila Prabhupada.
